Drama Club encourages participation in the dramatic and performing arts at McCutcheon High School. Making friends, developing performing arts skills, and having fun are essential to club participation. Drama at McCutcheon involves both curricular and extra-curricular opportunities. Theatre Arts and Advanced Theatre Arts are elective courses available for students to deepen their knowledge of Theatre in the classroom in a “hands on” environment. The Fall Play, Spring Musical, Holocaust Plays, workshops, and community performance opportunities give students a chance to participate in theatre after school hours.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to join the club, a permission slip signed by parent/guardian and $50 dues money should be turned in by October 1. Club membership is sustained by staying active in club activities and performing arts opportunities at McCutcheon and in the Lafayette community. Club members who earn points become eligible for induction into the International Thespian Society, the honor society of Theatre.

Join the Drama Club

There is no limit, Drama Club is open to anyone who wants to join.

All members pay a fee of $50. This money covers the cost of club awards, t-shirts, party/activity supplies, new scripts, and magazines students can checkout in EN 105. Club members can earn points and become eligible for induction into the International Thespian Society.
