FFA students volunteer during fall break

McCutcheon FFA members worked with the Marine Corps League of Lafayette, David M Schoup Detachment, to clean headstones of men who fought for this country, their wives, and some of their children. The students learned a lot about our nation's history as they worked at the Indiana State Veterans Home.

"It was truly wonderful that our students gave up some of their fall break or vacation chances in order to volunteer," says McCutcheon FFA/Agricultural teacher Nicole Worley. "I'm beyond proud of this group and their hard work. Believe it or not, scrubbing headstones was actually an enjoyable task. We shared names, imagined what it would've been like in 1832 when these people were born and how different war zones were back then."
