McCutcheon High School is celebrating a fantastic performance from the MHS Spell Bowl team, which earned an impressive third-place finish in the State out of 30 Senior Division teams - coming in just behind Penn (87) and North Posey (77).  The Mavericks scored 76 points and secured their spot by defeating Carmel on the first tiebreaker.  Perfect spellers included Dave Rowe, Katie Bevans, and Jennifer Miller, while Saige Holland, Emma Smith, and Gabby Requierme earned Near Perfect honors.  Team members Sophia Betz, Sophia Lin, Rachel Burgeson, William Webb, Carter Riley, and Abbie Hobson rounded out the strong roster coached by Ms. Aubuchon.  The team also brought home State Runners-up medals in Class 1 competition.  Congratulations to the Maverick Spell Bowl team!
